AMLC CALENDAR UPDATES FOR DECEMBER

Following Our Beloved Murshids guidance and Instruction, many of you may be traveling to attend this years BNI Winter program, what a blessing. Much preparation is to made, yet we will still have many events that we would like for you to attend and show your continued support. Inshallah at the beginning of the new 2012 Calendar AMLC will have all emails coming from amlc78692@gmail.com, please make a note of this address, so we can transition well and no mail makes it to the "junk" pile, just add it to your contacts now. Starting off the month, AMLC will be having a MOTHER/DAUGHTER SEMINAR.

Along side a Membership Meeting, so whether you have a daughter , or are a daughter and are registered with AMLC we invite you to join.

Saturday, Dec.3, 2011 from 1-3. Meadow Park Community Center, Deposit, NY.  Also, we would like to ask our members to give to each other a small token, please contribute by bringing a snack like food item to this event. Shukran to all who were able to come out and support.

 

Friday, Dec. 9, Diamonds Social Lunch at Jazzies, a new halal eatery located on Glenwood Ave. at 1:00pm.

Friday, Dec. 9, Jades will have an after Juma'a Fundraiser. Please wear your sashes, help with the fundraiser and represent your club. Parents are being asked to please assist with donations of the following supplies needed for the fundraiser:

 Ketchup, 

Mustard, 

relish,

 6 packs of Hot Dogs (Beef, not chicken),

 6 packs of Buns,

 and aluminum foil.

Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 Rubies/Sapphires will venture to the Broome Community College Ice Center from 1-3pm, cost will be $8, which includes entry fee and skate rental.

Sunday, Dec. 11, Jades will get that fresh air feeling before the snow fall, InshALLAH. At Otsiningo Park from 1:30-4:30. Parents may need to supply items for this event, you will soon be notified or please contact Jades Gem Leader Maajidah.

Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011 Diamonds will assist at Samaritan House St. Mary's Recreation Center located on 37 Fayette St. at 12 noon.

Friday, Dec. 16, Rubies/Sapphires will have a Fundraiser on Holy Islamberg after Juma'a, Please wear your sashes, help with the fundraiser and represent your club. Any Further questions please contact Gem Leader Zubadah @607-467-1355.

Saturday,Dec. 17 Diamonds  will have a gift basket fundraiser at the local Walmart located at 2 Gannett Dr, Johnson City, NY at 12:00noon. Any questions please email Gem leader Yasmeen at takashione38@aim.com.

AMLC CALENDAR UPDATES FOR NOVEMBER

As-salamu alaikum to you, May this reminder find you all in remembrance of Him, with His name on your tongue and His name in your heart. Brrrrrrrrr.....Inshallah you have been able to keep warm as we creep into the season of winter. AMLC would like to invite you all once again to stay out of hibernation and join us in our monthly events.

Brief reminder that Day Light savings time falls on November 6th, 2011. Turn those clocks back.

Saturday, November 19, 2011 Diamonds will venture to the Discovery Center of the Southern Tier,12pm and off to lunch at 2pm. The pricing for this event is $9 and includes admission for adult and children altogether. Lunch pricing is separate. Please respond to Gem Leader Yasmeen A. Aziz or Zubaidah A. Salaam, no later than Saturday, Nov. 5th (it needs to be paid for, reserved and a head count of how many children attending is needed.)

Sunday, November 20, 2011 AMLC will host it's Monthly Member Birthday Bash at Boys and Girls Club of Western Broome, 1 Club House Rd. Endicott, NY 13760 contact if in need of directions 607-754-0225. It will be a Gym/swim and lunch. Registered members fee is $5 and non-registered $7. Please become encouraged to register if you have not yet done so. All membership fees paid for the current month will have a FREE entry to this B-day Bash. Shukran to all who have done so.

Saturday, November 26, 2011 Rubies/Sapphires Event To Be Announced.

 Sunday, November 27, 2011 Diamonds Pamper Yourself from facials, pedi's to mani's, experience a variety of feminine touch ups. Location and time to be announced. For further updates and/or questions reply to Gem Leader Yasmeen Begum @607-595-8632.

Each person should bring a snack like food(i.e. samosas, pakoras, chip and dip, fruit, salad, any finger foods of the like).

There will be door prizes, Inshallah.

Again we say Shukran to all who have participated in AMLC events and to the parents who support it in it's endeavors by sending your children and aiding in the ways that you do. 

It will further become policy for AMLC to correspond with registered members ONLY, to those who have yet to register and would like to, please contact Secretary Sabeeha Begum 607-467-2282 or Assnt. Secretary Laila Rashid 607-467-2003 or myself Majeedah begum @607-723-2879 to sign-up, after issuance of this correspondence non-registered individuals will not be able to attend events designated for members, we appreciate your understanding in such matters. 

AMLC would like to also introduce to you one of the many courses we will be offering to you and your children in the coming months, with additions, as the instructors become fully established.

A Crochet Course will begin on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 and take place consecutively every Tues. and Thurs. for the month of November with a project completion of a hat. 

Dates are 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th and the 29th of November on Holy Islamberg instructed by Maryam A. Rauf. Please bring a Yarn of your choice and a crochet needle.
Also Raabia Begum will be starting a sewing course starting Friday and Saturday, November 18th-19, 2011 followed by Fri. and Sat. for the next 4-5 weeks from 3pm-5pm at her home. With a focus on project completion, basic stitching, hemming, all by hand with precision and neatness in mind.

As-salamu Alaikum All and Many Blessings to you and your families. AMLC is proud to present to you our calendar for the month of October. Although we have not had the the opportunity to function for last few terms as we would normally have, AMLC has continued to function on different levels. The first Annual Muslim Ladyship Day camp was a great success and many of our staff was busy in assisting with this event. Shukran again to ALL who helped make it possible and May Allah continue to have you support this continued mission of our Murshid Kamil. 

We would like to make a note that at the upcoming AMLC Fundraisers we would like to have the Young Ladies wear their AMLC sashes so as to represent the club affiliation. Contact will be made by the gem leaders in relations to donations and/or support you can offer to assist them in their efforts. 

As we introduce to you the calendar information for the month of October, we would like to take a moment to also welcome and introduce to you our new Diamonds Gem Leader, Yasmeen Abdul Aziz. May Allah guide her. 

Sunday, October 16, 2011 Diamonds will have a potluck luncheon and pollyanna, come together again and brainstorm, wishes, desires and goals, as either sisters, mothers, aunts and wives. You will need to bring a main dish and a dessert or drink. Please contact Diamond Gem Leader

On Sunday, October 22, 2011 AMLC will host a BIG TIME BIRTHDAY BASH, remembering those months of July, August,September and October, you have not been forgotten.

The event will be at the Gerry Tull's Miniture Golf/Ice Cream Shop 18 Rt-38B Endicott, NY 13760, fun, fun, fun, from 4pm-6pm.  

 The fee for this event is $5. We will be serving refreshments, lunch, AMLC cake and also provide a delicious cone right from the shop.

Membership dues are and have always been a very important part in allowing the club to function at its best, when events occur we would like to offer no cost events to our members, and this is made possible by dues being paid to allow opportunities for us to plan and give more back to you, Please contact Siddiqa Begum @ 607-722-0233.

We would like to add that there will be upcoming courses offered in the November Calendar, to give us time to secure our instructors and locations, Inshallah. As-salamu alaikum Ladies, young and younger. Upon us is the month of June and in this month there are many things taken place for all of us, whether we are daughters, mothers, sisters or Aunties. Busy Bee's we are to be, may Allah Subhana Wa Ta Ala allow us to taste the nectar of success. May this correspondence, as always, find you in the best of health and spirits. Listed below will be the month of June's scheduled activities. Please, if the ability is there, print out and post the calendar and updates in a convenient place in your home.

AMLC would like to extend apologies for the time frame of June's calendar, many of our dedicated assistants are participating in various fields. We ask that any who would like to offer AMLC any ideas please reply to this email. Shukria

AMLC will continue to distribute emails to interested individuals, but again we urge you to please register if you have not already. Registration can be obtained by contacting Majeedah Begum @555-5555. Located at 8 Brownson St. Binghamton, NY. The fee is $10. Shukran to those who registered last month.

An added reminder that monthly dues are upon us, as stated in the AMLC Handbook. $5 for each individual and $3 after the second individual. For those who have not been able to pay May's dues, please speak with Sabeeha HKH 555-5555(Deposit drop off), Laila Rashid 555-5555(H. Islamberg) or Siddiqa Burks   

555-5555 (Binghamton) to make further arrangements. As a registered member of AMLC you will be invited to participate in many of the no cost events. Your monthly membership dues help us to insure that we can create for you activities, educative adventures and great learning experiences created for you by you. Please note that those who are not registered will have to pay a fee to attend AMLC events designated for members. Come and join the fun, AMLC living!

 Thursday, June 2, 2011 AMLC Diamonds will have a pre-retreat Bar B Que at Otsiningo Park, Binghamton, NY from 3:30-6:30. June 4, 2011, Banaat Un Noor International orientation.  To all you ladies who have made the Niya'at to attend this years 2011 BNI Summer Retreat, we salute you!!! Stay strong, stay firm and prosper!

Every Thursday of the month in June, starting June 16, 23, and 30th.  Majeedah Begum will host an Educational and Fun Activity for AMLC members of all ages(activity may include, basic sewing, canning, crafting). Friday, June 10 and 24, 2011 AMLC will host a Fundraiser on Holy Islamberg after Juma'a prayer.

In Celebration of a practice initiated by Our Beloved Syedina Maulana Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم‎)directed to Ghaus-e-Azam, Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jilani. A commemoration dinner is to be hosted by AMLC on June 13th. All community members are asked to bring a sweet to the meal.

AMLC will be hosting a GAME DAY Birthday Bash. June 18th at the Holy Islamberg Community Field. There will be an entry table and a member check lists, so please do bring your member ID cards. And remember if you need to register, ask for further details. Any May or June dues can be given on this day.

JADES June Sports Day will be held on Holy Islamberg, June 24th in the field at 5:30 for further details and information please contact Gem Leader Ma'ajidah Khanum @555-5555
